Portraits mean different things to different people. Some people think of the traditional posed portrait in a studio, “everyone say cheese!” Or maybe you think of something a bit edgier in the studio. Other people prefer a more modern, photojournalistic style to their portraits. I definitely prefer the last. While I can and do take studio portraits, I really like to capture your in your element, doing what you do – whatever that is! I can come to your home, or meet you in a park. Or even check out the scenery in downtown Champaign.
If you would like a session in your home, I’d like to meet with you in advance, to check out the lighting you have and discuss the right time of day for natural light. If you would rather be outside, you are welcome to pick a place, or if you don’t know of any, I have a list of options we can talk about.
