This gorgeous little girl was fun to photograph. She kept me hopping, most definitely. She was only a week old, but oh so alert! I just loved how bright and clear her eyes were.

Twice as Nice! {Champaign Newborn Photographer}

One newborn is pretty tricky. But, toss in a twin and it really is double trouble!! This was my first go at twins, and I definitely learned one very valuable lesson: bring a change of clothes! There are three different ways a baby can”get” you and I was lucky enough to be gotten all three ways.

On the upside, being around these little newborn twins took me back to my own early days as a new twin mom. My guys are 9 now, and while they don’t “get” me the same ways these little newborns did, they certainly have their own ways.

Good luck to this mama as twins make 6 for your family. It’s a crazy and wild ride, that’s for sure!

Beautiful Baby Bump {Champaign Maternity Photographer}

How beautiful is this belly?? There is about nothing I love to look at more than a baby bump. A mom, carrying new life in her belly is just the most miraculous thing ever, and I just think there is nothing more beautiful.

Now, that’s not what you think. This is a family blog, after all. It’s a style. It’s my style for Senior Portraits. What’s so exciting, and what I want to talk about is that Totally Rad Actions is releasing a new plug in for Photoshop in just a few short days that will do in just a tiny bit of the time it takes me to do it by hand. To give you an idea of what Dirty Pictures are, here are some examples. I’m showing you the before and after so you can see just how cool this process is.

Isn’t she gorgeous?? Of course, since people say we look alike, I suppose I have to say that. But, really I do think she’s beautiful. She hasn’t had a nice portrait of herself in years, so when we went home over Christmas break, I had to take some shots for her. Her hubby got in on the act, too.

I took pictures of her three children last summer when they came to visit me. You may recognize those eyes from somewhere. Maybe….. here?

That’s little sis. Here’s big sis, who I was finally able to take pictures of so they all match now.

And just because they are so silly, I have to leave off with proof of that silliness.

I never considered myself the type to do pet photography, but I was taking pictures of V and we decided to go ahead and do a few with her adorable puppy. This was a favorite and I actually had fun!

Homeschoolers strike again!

I got to do my second and make up session for the home school group. They were so much fun and the weather was much more cooperative. Not perfect as it was crazy windy, but at least it wasn’t in the 40s and 50s! Here are some of my favorites.

Today, I did a group shoot with some home school families. I’m doing more in 2 weeks. I was a bit worried as we were doing outdoor shots. It been rainy all week and they are predicting some form of frozen precipitation for the weekend. But, today, we had a gorgeous, sunny, DRY day! Well, mostly gorgeous. It was windy like crazy! I was able to hit the shutter between gusts and mostly got shots without hair in everyone’s faces. Despite temps in the 50′s, the wind was cold. If I zoom in on some of the shots, I can clearly see goose bumps on their little arms. Poor things! But, they were troopers and did their model duty. I had so much fun with these kids. I can’t wait for the next round in a couple of weeks! Here are a couple of favorites from today.
